Anita Anita is a native Calgarian who has always had an interest in hair. She attended Saint Mary's High School and was intriuged when Beauty Culture was offered as an option. After the first semester, she had learned that she could complete her hairdressing at the same time as her High School diploma. At the end of grade 10 she had the opportunity to work in a salon. She worked evenings, weekends and full time during holidays, staying with the salon until after graduation in 1988, when she worked full time to complete the 1400 hours of apprenticeship. Anita always aspired to have her own Salon and worked diligently towards that goal. With the experiences from three salons under her belt, and a loyal clientele, Hair Peace opened on June 16th 1998. In December of the same year, she realized the business had grown beyond expectations. This led to the transistion of hiring staff. Anita was always conscious of the potential within this industry and strove to learn and grow every day through continued education. While attending a cutting class in Saskatchewan she was intruiged by a new line of products. After arriving home, she inquired about them and was introduced to a new line of color. The enthusiasm which she exuded with this new color line gained the attention of the Director of Mask Color Education. In August of 2000, she attended classes to become the Color Educator for Calgary. The knowledge she gained from this experience has proven to be invaluable. Working with clients on a full time basis, coaching staff, and coordinating the day to day functions of the salon, has limited her time for educating anyone other than her staff. Anita is an individual who has always embraced knowledge and growth and continues to strive to create a salon atmosphere that exceeds expectations.

		Cathy Cathy has joined the Hair Peace team as an enthusiastic and experienced stylist, moving to Calgary from Jasper, Alberta, where she was managing a busy salon. The new career direction has been exciting for the Jasper girl. Cathy loves new experiences; however growing up in a busy mountain tourist town has instilled solid people skills and a value for teamwork. Always willing to learn about different people has led Cathy around the world. Living and working in New Zealand, traveling to Hong Kong, Australia, Central America and the U.K. This worldly experience has taught Cathy much about style, cutting techniques and the way colour can make you feel. A new cut and colour can make you feel more confident, put a spring into your step, or reveal yourself in a youthful light. Cathy believes that anybody can experience this at Hair Peace!
Cathy has been a stylist since 1997 when she graduated from technical training at Marvel College in Edmonton. Since that time Cathy has received her schooling and continuing education outside the class room, through life experiences. Further, Cathy has taken classes through Matrix, Tony & Guy, Schwartzkopf, and Tressa. Cathy's love for style has brought her too many hair and fashion shows that further intensified her passion for making hair beautiful. Making people happy feeds Cathy's spirit, and she looks forward meeting you.
